Our Community
Who we are
We are a community for people who have lived through or are living through depression. We choose to manage our moods and our lives as effectively as we can – to live as full lives as possible – and to encourage others within the community and within the world at large to be active in living their lives well.
What we believe
We want to understand our emotions – including even the darker emotions like depression, and its cousins grief, loneliness, jealously and anger.
We want to identify the things that feed our negativity and drag us down and to develop the skills of sustaining hope and optimism despite the circumstances we find ourselves in.
We want to encourage ourselves to develop effective problem-solving strategies to help us deal with the things that block us, and to become more confident and secure in applying these within our everyday lives.

Our Life Program
Through Troubled Eyes
An 8 week program for anyone who ahs been experiencing depression and is interested in learning more about the nature of black moods and strategies to avoid falling so low ever again.
Special Interest Groups
An opportunity to join together with others sharing similar areas of concern.
Library Resources
Access to the Depression Resource Library which includes articles of interest, inspirational images. words of wisdom.
Opportunities to share your own wisdom
Perhaps the most powerful influence in our lives is other people. By listening to others’ stories and sharing our own, we are able to continue moving forward and growing long after we have completed a program. Making our own contribution is a significant way of consolidating and continuing to live as we want to live.
